Having been fascinated by the dynamic nature of biological signalling networks and immunology since my teenage years, I have decided to decline my offers from the medical schools and to devote myself to foundamental immunological research.
After obtaining my undergraduate degree from National Taiwan University and my MSc from Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich (ETH Zurich), I started a D.Phil in Simon’s T-cell Biology Group at the University of Oxford (I am attached to the Queen’s college).
My doctoral work focuses on super-resolution analysis of the resting T-cell surface with a special emphasis on the preTCR in collaboration with Prof David Klenerman’s Group in Cambridge. This work is aimed to further our understanding of receptor stoichiometry and signalling initiation by the TCR and the preTCR.
In my spare time, I am singing in a choir, playing the piano and rowing on the river Cherwell.
